Privacy solutions for neonatal care: Protecting young patients and families

In the neonatal department, providing optimal care to vulnerable newborns is of utmost importance. Silentia privacy screens excel in creating spaces that prioritize privacy, cleanliness, and efficient care for infants, families, and medical staff.

The modular and flexible design of the Silentia privacy screen system is easily adaptable to fit any scenario in neonatal care. It gives medical staff the ability to create a private spaces, especially in an emergency, that separates a patient from the environment around them.

Privacy screens support streamlined workflows by allowing safer access to patients, providing sightlines to monitors without impeding privacy, and improving cleanliness in the area around patients. They also offer functional benefits to the physical space, such as a surface to knock on before entering and a surface to display calming or engaging imagery.

To showcase the variability of the Silentia privacy screen system and it’s diversity of solutions, we have gathered project examples from healthcare facilities across the country. These installations are actual solutions that were developed to address a range of our customers’ challenges, from environmental hygiene and infection control to safety and efficiency for staff.

Explore the examples below, get inspired, and consider the many ways privacy screens can provide protection for your young patients and their families in your department.

Individual rooms

Individual rooms offer a private setting for the treatment and care of NICU patients, however, they often still require a privacy solution around the patient, for the family, and at the entrance of the room.

Open bay

Open bay treatment and recovery wards excel at delivering care efficiently for larger volumes of patients. In these settings, where patient comfort and safety can be challenging, privacy screens can improve privacy and reduce infection spread.

Lactation/Pumping room

Lactation and pumping rooms are important supplemental spaces for families whose babies are receiving treatment in a NICU. Privacy screens can be used to transform these areas into more private, serene spaces.
